New Exhibition.. LYMM'S SPORTING LEGEND - The incredible life and career of Peter Collins. Speedway was huge in the 1970s and in the UK there was no bigger name than Peter Collins. So when local lad Peter, still only 22 went to Katowice in Poland and won the world title in front of a partisan crowd of over 120,000 with a near perfect performance it made the headlines on front and back pages here in the UK.

The exhibition tells his remarkable life story complete with championship winning bikes,(including one you can sit on for a photo op) leathers, helmets, memorabilia, stories pictures, trophies and rarely seen video. The exhibition is due to run until December and during that time there will be occasional opportunities to meet Peter himself. Opening hours 12-4 Thursday to Sunday. We will also be open on Monday August 31st
