Post-COVID Lockdown Offer.
We are very conscious of how difficult it has been for schools to undertake visits and have visitors in since March 2020. We are full of admiration for the all the great work that schools did by adapting to such difficult circumstances.
As a Thank You to schools and to help stimulate new links we are making all school activities FREE for the whole 2021-2022 and 2022-2023 academic years. From September 2023 we plan to reintroduce a small charge to help ensure that the Centre remains sustainable for years to come.
Working with Schools
Delivering the local history element of the national curriculum can be a real challenge if there is not easy access to local knowledge and resources. That is what the team at Lymm Heritage Centre aims to offer to our local schools.
The Centre itself offers a fabulous focal point that can stimulate many idea and activities while we can also help you to interpret the village surroundings with walks and talks. Just look at the range of topics and sessions we have offered and delivered in the 2022-2023 school year.
We have assembled a wide range of online resources to help you and our education team, which includes experienced education professionals. We are just a call or an email away if you would like help and advice.
You will find a wealth of material on this website but we have brought together some of the most useful via the links below. You can also borrow picture displays and storyboards on a variety of topics.
The Lymm Archive
Over 3,000 pictures and documents, catalogued and fully searchable. Great for creating presentations, assmbling topic material or prompting research.

Books & Materials
We have produced many books that tell aspects of Lymm's story including Hannah and the Ruby Glass, specifically aimed at KS2 Children. All can be provided at reduced school prices. >>>>>
People
We have the Centre and a wealth of materials but in the end our most important resources are the people who can share their knowledge and enthusiasm for local history with you. >>>>>
Fun Stuff
We have been keen from the outset to make the Centre a fun destination for children. This page will show you some of the ways we have hopefully achieved that. >>>>>
